Enfield Woman Faces Charges After Fatal Crash Involving Minibike Rider

An Enfield resident is currently in legal trouble after allegedly fleeing the scene of a crash that resulted in the death of a minibike rider on Monday evening, according to authorities.

Law enforcement officials were called to the scene of a multi-vehicle collision at approximately 8 p.m. on Monday, where they discovered the lifeless body of the minibike rider near the intersection of Hazard Avenue and Water Street, as reported by the Enfield Police Department.

Reports indicate that the minivan involved in the accident chose to leave the scene before law enforcement arrived.

The suspected driver of the minivan has been identified as 66-year-old Judith Kostek, who was subsequently apprehended and charged with evading responsibility resulting in death, according to police officials.

Authorities have refrained from releasing the identity of the victim until their next of kin has been notified of the tragic incident.

An investigation into the crash is currently being conducted by the Enfield Police Department Traffic Division, with additional support from the METRO Traffic Services Regional Traffic Team, in order to ascertain the circumstances surrounding the incident.
