Tragic Accident Claims Lives of Three Siblings in Bulandshahr
Three siblings tragically lost their lives and three others went missing in a devastating accident that took place in Bulandshahr district, Uttar Pradesh. The incident occurred on Sunday night as heavy rain was pouring down on the region, leading to a van carrying eight individuals to plunge into the Kapna canal in the Jahangirpur area.
Search and Rescue Efforts Underway
Efforts are currently underway to locate the missing individuals as authorities work tirelessly to bring closure to this heart-wrenching tragedy. District Magistrate Chandra Prakash Singh, who visited the scene, expressed his deep sorrow over the unfortunate incident that befell the group of individuals who were on their way from Sherpur village to Pisawa in Aligarh to attend a wedding.
Quick Response and Recovery Operation
Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Shlok Kumar detailed the sequence of events, noting that a PCR call was received late Sunday night alerting authorities of the van’s plunge into the canal. The Flood PAC stationed at a nearby temple swiftly responded, managing to rescue two individuals and recover the bodies of three victims.
Victims Identified
The deceased have been identified as Kanta (22), Manish (21), and Anjali (18), all residents of Sherpur village in the Kakod police station area. Additional District Magistrate (Administration) Prashant Kumar Bharti confirmed that the victims were family members, adding to the heartbreak of the situation.
Collaborative Search Efforts
Specialized teams from the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) and National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) have been called in to assist in the search for the missing individuals. Local divers and community members are also lending their support, combing the area for any sign of the remaining three individuals.
