Assailant on the Run After Shooting Incident in Indio
The Indio Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in locating a suspect involved in a shooting incident that occurred in the 82000 block of Valencia Avenue. The incident took place on Thursday afternoon at approximately 1:55 p.m.
According to reports, officers from the Indio PD responded to the scene after receiving multiple reports of gunshots in the area. Upon arrival, they found a man who had sustained a gunshot wound. The victim was promptly transported to a nearby hospital for treatment, and fortunately, his injuries were deemed non-life-threatening.
The alleged assailant has been identified as 21-year-old Manuel Victor Guerra III, a resident of Indio. Guerra reportedly fled the scene following the shooting, and his current whereabouts remain unknown.
