Tragic Overdose Death in Antioch, Illinois
Last year, a devastating incident rocked the small town of Antioch, Illinois, when a 17-year-old lost his life to a drug overdose. The tragic event took place in a home located in the 400 block of IL Route 173, where the young teen was found unresponsive in the early hours of the morning.
Arrest Made in Connection to Overdose
After an extensive investigation by the Lake County State’s Attorney’s Office, it was determined that the teen had died from a lethal dose of fentanyl after consuming counterfeit opioid pills known as Perc 30. The person responsible for selling these dangerous drugs to the young victim was identified as 20-year-old Jack Foley, who was an acquaintance of the deceased.

On February 28, Foley was arrested by Antioch police and charged with drug-induced homicide, a Class X felony, as well as unlawful possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, a Class 2 felony. The arrest came after an arrest warrant was issued for Foley on February 22, leading to his eventual apprehension by law enforcement.
