Driving a small car, such as a Perodua Kancil, can present certain risks on the road, especially in collisions with larger vehicles.

This risk was tragically highlighted yesterday afternoon (1 March) in Jalan Jementah, Segamat, when a woman died after the Perodua Kancil she was driving collided with a trailer.

According to the Chief of the Segamat City Fire and Rescue Station, Assistant Fire Superintendent (AFS) Muhd Hazim Abdul Razak, the fire department received a call about the incident at approximately 2:11 PM.

“Upon the arrival of the fire department at the scene, it was found that a road accident involving two vehicles, namely a Perodua Kancil car and a trailer truck, had occurred.

The driver of the Perodua Kancil was trapped in the driver’s section and was extracted by the fire department using special RTA equipment.

“The victim was successfully removed and was confirmed dead by a medical officer from the Ministry of Health,” he said when contacted by Kosmo!

Muhd Hazim added that the deceased was identified as Siti Aminah Husin, 35, and her body was handed over to the police for further action.

Meanwhile, the driver of the truck, a 61-year-old senior citizen, did not suffer any injuries.
