A 57-year-old man from Lakewood has been identified as the individual found deceased in the trunk of a vehicle, according to Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer. The man, David Koscuik, was discovered on Wednesday after authorities received a report of an unconscious male inside a vehicle trunk in the vicinity of Fairway Court in Lakewood Township.

The Investigation

The circumstances surrounding Koscuik’s death are currently being investigated, with authorities stating that there is no immediate threat to the public. Tony Koscuik, the brother of the deceased, mentioned that David was last seen leaving a residence on New Hampshire Avenue in Lakewood, where he had been residing with his late mother. Tony also revealed that David had recently secured employment at Renaissance Pharmaceuticals in Lakewood and had received a tax refund and a paycheck.

More than a week after his last sighting, David contacted his girlfriend from Brooklyn, expressing his desire to return home.
