Investigation into Suspicious Death in Berlin, New Hampshire

The New Hampshire attorney general’s office is currently investigating a tragic incident that occurred in Berlin, New Hampshire, which has left the community in shock. The incident, which took place on Main Street in Berlin, has raised concerns and prompted authorities to issue an Amber Alert in the early hours of Friday morning.

Discovery of Deceased Female

At approximately 10:30 p.m., New Hampshire State Police and the Berlin Police Department responded to an apartment on Main Street in Berlin following reports of a possible death. Upon arrival, officers discovered the body of a deceased female inside the apartment, who has since been identified as 31-year-old Caitlyn Naffziger.

Autopsy Scheduled

An autopsy has been scheduled to take place in Concord on Friday afternoon at 12:30 p.m. to determine the cause of Naffziger’s death and gather further evidence in the investigation.

Amber Alert Issued

As part of the ongoing investigation, authorities have issued an Amber Alert seeking the public’s assistance in locating two missing children, 4-year-old Elowyn Duren and 1-year-old Vaelyn Duren. The children were last seen with their biological father, Dustin, and are believed to be in danger.

Relationship with Missing Children

Search for Missing Children

The missing children, Elowyn and Vaelyn Duren, were last seen in Berlin on Thursday night around 8:00 p.m. with their father, Dustin Mark Duren, driving a white Subaru Impreza. The vehicle’s last known location was in the Concord area of New Hampshire.

Authorities have urged the public to be on the lookout for Dustin Duren and the missing children, emphasizing that Duren may be armed and dangerous. If spotted, individuals are advised not to approach them and to contact 911 immediately.
