Tragic Incident in Morgan County

A heartbreaking incident occurred earlier this week in Morgan County, where a 4-year-old child lost his life in a tragic dog attack. The incident took place near Ramblewood Pvt Dr and Vaughn Bridge Road, where deputies and EMS responded to the distress call.

Details of the Incident

Upon reaching the scene, deputies found that an Old English Bulldog, initially mistaken for a Pitbull, had attacked the child. In a desperate attempt to save others from harm, deputies had to euthanize the dog. The child, identified as Beau Clark, passed away shortly after the attack.

Investigation Findings

As the investigation unfolded, it was revealed that young Beau was familiar with the dog and had interacted with it on several occasions in the past. Tragically, on that fateful day, he rode his bike into the yard, unknowingly putting himself in harm’s way. The dog, described as being “securely maintained” on its owner’s property, had no prior history of aggression. The families of both the dog and the child were long-time friends and neighbors, adding to the heartbreak of the situation.

Community Support

Morgan County Sheriff Ron Puckett expressed his deepest sympathies for both families involved and commended the efforts of the deputies, EMS personnel, and investigators who worked tirelessly to piece together the tragic events of that night. The entire community mourns the loss of young Beau, a vibrant and beloved member of the neighbourhood.

Remembering Beau

Beau’s parents, Hailey and Kevin Clark, penned a heartfelt tribute to their son, reminiscing about his infectious laughter, playful antics, and unwavering love. In honour of Beau’s memory, a scholarship fund has been set up to award an annual scholarship to a deserving Hartselle High School senior.

Final Thoughts

As the community comes to terms with this devastating loss, the legacy of Beau Clark lives on through the scholarship fund established in his name. Our thoughts and prayers remain with both families as they navigate this difficult time.
