Details of Fatal Shooting in Houston
HOUSTON – Three suspects have been arrested and charged in connection with the fatal shooting of a man at 10240 Bauman Street in Houston on Wednesday morning.
Charges Filed Against Suspects
The suspects, identified as Travante Marques Purvis, 22, Christian Nicholas Barrera, 19, and Fernando Aguilar, Jr., 24, are facing charges of capital murder in relation to the incident.
Victim and Suspects
The victim, a 30-year-old man, was with a family member at a gas station when the three suspects drove up and attempted to rob them. A confrontation ensued, resulting in gunfire exchange between the victim’s uncle and the suspects.
Tragic Outcome
Unfortunately, the victim sustained multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead by emergency responders from the Houston Fire Department. One of the suspects was also injured during the exchange of gunfire.
Arrest and Charges
Following the incident, the suspects fled the scene but were apprehended shortly after at a local hospital. Purvis, who was wounded during the altercation, remains hospitalized. All three suspects were subsequently charged for their involvement in the fatal shooting.
Investigation Continues
The identity of the victim is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences. The Houston Police Department Homicide Division is leading the investigation into the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
