Tragic Accident Claims Life of California Woman in Portsmouth Crash
On a fateful Wednesday morning, tragedy struck on Interstate 95 in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, as a fatal rollover accident claimed the life of Taesoon Hur, a 65-year-old woman from Buena Park, California. The incident, which occurred during the morning commute, caused a major disruption on the busy highway, leading to extensive traffic delays and backups spanning multiple exits.
The driver of the vehicle involved in the crash was identified as Byung Moo Hur, a 38-year-old resident of Saugus, Massachusetts. While State Police did not immediately confirm whether the two individuals were related, the circumstances of the accident were nonetheless heartbreaking.
The tragic incident unfolded when Byung Moo Hur lost control of their Genesis G70 while travelling north on Interstate 95. The vehicle veered off the road, crossed the paved section, and entered a grassy median before colliding with a large light pole. The impact of the crash resulted in Taesoon Hur being ejected from the car, leading to her untimely death at the scene.
Following the accident, Taesoon Hur was pronounced dead on site, while Byung Moo Hur sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries and was rushed to Portsmouth Regional Hospital for treatment. The extent of Byung Moo Hur’s injuries remained uncertain, as authorities continued their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the fatal crash.
