Police in Glasgow, Scotland, made an arrest in the early hours of Thursday morning following a vehicle accident at the intersection of North Race Street and West Front Street.

The incident, which occurred at approximately 3:12 a.m., involved a collision that led to the apprehension of Stephanie Stephenson, a 42-year-old female driver.

Upon arrival at the scene, law enforcement officers conducted field sobriety tests on Stephenson, which reportedly indicated signs of impairment.

Following the examination, Stephenson was taken to T.J. Samson Community Hospital for further evaluation. During the hospital visit, authorities discovered a clear plastic bag containing what they suspected to be methamphetamine in her possession.

Despite the discovery, Stephenson refused to provide a blood sample for testing.

After being medically cleared, Stephenson was transported to the Barren County Detention Center, where she now faces charges of first-degree possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine) and operating a motor vehicle under the influence of a substance, with this being her second offense.
