Tragic Shooting Incident in Danville

On the evening of February 28th, tragedy struck in Danville as the police department responded to a shooting incident in the 800 block of South Street. The incident involved the shooting death of a 30-year-old man from Bourbonnais, Leequale E. Key.

Details of the Incident

At approximately 7:30 p.m., officers arrived at the scene and found two male subjects present. Leequale E. Key was quickly transported to a local hospital, where he tragically succumbed to his injuries.

Suspect in Custody

A 26-year-old man from Champaign, Nairobi J. Williams, was taken into custody by the Danville Police Department for investigation of first-degree murder in connection with the incident. The police department is currently conducting a thorough investigation, and no further details have been released at this time.
