Accident – Death – Obituary News : Louisiana State Police have apprehended 34-year-old Ryan Scott Soileau from Washington in connection with a tragic hit-and-run incident that resulted in the death of a bicyclist in St. Landry Parish. The arrest took place on February 28, 2024, at Troop I, where Soileau was taken into custody under a felony arrest warrant. He was then transported to the St. Landry Parish Jail and booked on charges of negligent homicide and hit and run.

Despite having safety measures in place such as a red flashing LED light, Leger tragically lost his life after being thrown from his bicycle and succumbing to his injuries at a local hospital.

The driver responsible for the hit-and-run remained unknown until the recent arrest of Ryan Scott Soileau.
