Located in the heart of East Lansdowne, Pennsylvania, tragedy struck earlier this month when a family of eight was torn apart by a devastating shooting and fire that left five family members dead.

The tragedy began with a heated argument between a niece and her uncle inside their East Lansdowne home on February 7. The uncle, identified as Canh Le, then retrieved his semi-automatic pistol from his bedroom and opened fire on his family, fatally striking four of them.

Two officers were met with gunfire as they attempted to save an 11-year-old child believed to be injured inside the home.
