Man Dies After Vehicle Crash and Shooting in Lexington Park

Malic Quinn Freeland has tragically passed away after being rushed to an area shock trauma center following a vehicle crash and shooting incident in Lexington Park, St. Mary’s County. The incident occurred on February 26, when a vehicle went off the road, crashing through a fence and into a shed near Valley Drive and Fox Ridge Road.

Authorities from the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene at around 9 p.m. and found Freeland with injuries sustained from the crash. Shockingly, it was later discovered that he had also been shot. He was immediately provided with medical aid and transported to the hospital for treatment and evaluation.

Despite the efforts of first responders, Freeland tragically succumbed to his injuries on Tuesday. His body has since been taken to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore for further examination to determine the exact cause of death.

Investigation Underway

The investigation into this fatal incident is currently ongoing, with authorities working diligently to piece together the events leading up to the crash and shooting.
