Hyderabad: In a tragic road accident that occurred in Mothe police limits, at least five people lost their lives and 11 others sustained serious injuries. The victims, including four women, were on their way to Suryapet for agricultural work when the unfortunate incident took place.
Details of the Incident
The deceased individuals were identified as Ch. Narayanamma, A. Nagamman, R. Sowbhagya, K. Anasuya, and K. Guruvaiah, all hailing from Vijayanagar colony in Munagala mandal. They were daily-wage workers traveling in an auto-rickshaw for chilli farming activities at Burakacherla village.
As the auto-rickshaw approached the underpass bridge on the Suryapet and Khammam NH, a speeding TSRTC bus collided head-on with the vehicle. Unfortunately, Narayanamma, Nagamman, and Anusurya lost their lives on the spot, while Sowbhagya and Guruvaiah passed away while receiving treatment in Hyderabad.
Response and Investigation
Upon receiving the alert, the police quickly arrived at the scene where they found three individuals already deceased. A case has been registered against the RTC driver under section 304 (A) for negligence driving resulting in death.
