Gurugram, February 27: In a tragic incident that has shocked the residents of Gurugram, a 24-year-old Nepali man has been arrested for the murder of his wife. The man, identified as Tapras Joshi, allegedly strangled his wife, Shanti, to death and then tried to pass it off as a death due to illness.

The incident took place on Sunday night when Shanti was brought to a hospital in an unconscious state by her husband. Hospital staff noticed signs of strangulation and nail marks on her body, prompting them to inform the authorities.

According to the police, the couple had only recently moved to Gurugram and were residing in a PG in the Saraswati Kunj area of Sector-53. The accused confessed to the police that an argument between them turned violent, leading to him strangling his wife in a fit of rage.

After the murder, the accused took Shanti’s body to the hospital and claimed that she had died due to illness. However, an autopsy revealed the true cause of death to be strangulation, leading to the immediate arrest of Tapras Joshi.

Husband’s Admission and Police Action

Inspector Rajender, SHO of Sector-53 Police Station, stated that the medical examination confirmed the cause of death as strangulation. The accused husband admitted to the killing, leading to the registration of a murder case against him.

The shocking incident has left the community in disbelief, with many expressing outrage over the heinous act. The police have assured the public that justice will be served in this case, and the accused will face the full extent of the law for his actions.
