Hyderabad:

A heart-wrenching incident unfolded as Shaik Nizamuddin, a resident of Medak in Telangana, lost his life unexpectedly in the UAE on February 24th due to a cardiac arrest. The news of his demise has left his family devastated, prompting his son to reach out to External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar for assistance in bringing his father’s body back to India.

Shaik Aamir, the son of the deceased, penned a heartfelt letter detailing the circumstances of his father’s passing. He revealed that his father had been residing in the UAE in hopes of settling his salary dues after the company he had worked for as a driver shut down three years ago. With his father being the sole provider for the family, Shaik Aamir appealed for support in securing his father’s pending salary and settlement funds.

In his emotional plea, Shaik Aamir wrote, “My father, Shaik Nizamuddin, a resident of Fareed Nagar, Zaheerabad, Telangana, had been employed as a driver at Golden Rock Company. However, following the closure of the company three years ago, he remained in the UAE to resolve his pending dues and was unable to return home since 2018.”

“On the fateful day of February 24th, 2024, I received the devastating news of my father’s demise due to a sudden cardiac arrest. I humbly request for his mortal remains to be repatriated and for his outstanding salary and settlement to be handed over to us, as we come from humble beginnings. My father leaves behind five daughters and a son who relied on him for their livelihood. Your prompt action and assistance in this matter would mean the world to us,” he added.

Amjed Ullah Khan, a spokesperson for Majlis Bachao Tahreek, took to social media to share Shaik Aamir’s plea with the public. The letter addressed to S Jaishankar highlighted the family’s plea for help in bringing Shaik Nizamuddin’s body back to Medak, Telangana, given the closure of the company he worked for and his prolonged stay in the UAE due to unresolved issues.
