Shots Fired Incident in Vicksburg

On a Thursday afternoon, residents of the peaceful neighbourhood of Ethel Street in Vicksburg were startled by the sound of gunshots. The Vicksburg Police Department swiftly responded to a shots fired call in the 1500 block of Ethel Street, where a troubling incident had occurred.

Suspects Identified

Upon arrival, officers identified 19-year-old Avante DeAnthony Wilson and 20-year-old Tyreese Carter as the individuals involved in the shooting. Thankfully, no injuries were reported as a result of their reckless actions.

Legal Action Taken

Following a thorough investigation, Wilson was taken into custody and charged with Aggravated Assault with a Weapon on Thursday, February 22. He was subsequently held on a $250,000 bond. An arrest warrant has been issued for Carter for the same offence.
