Tragic Accident Claims the Life of School Bus Driver in Knoxville, Tennessee
In a heartbreaking turn of events, a school bus driver lost her life in a tragic accident that took place in Knoxville, Tennessee. The incident occurred on Monday morning at around 7:30 a.m. on Highway 70 North at Willow Road in Hawkins County.
Details of the Accident
According to reports from the Tennessee Highway Patrol, the crash involved a 2005 Chevy Silverado driven by an 18-year-old man from Eidson. The young driver was traveling southbound on Highway 70 North when he collided with the school bus driven by 55-year-old Aleita Gladson, a resident of Rogersville.
Despite wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, Aleita Gladson tragically lost her life in the accident. Her untimely death has left the community in mourning, as she was described as a valued member of the Hawkins County School District.

Matt Hixson, the director of the school district, paid tribute to Aleita Gladson, acknowledging her long-standing dedication to her role as a bus driver, secretary, and assistant director at the transportation department. Fortunately, two students who were on the bus at the time of the accident only sustained minor injuries and were taken for medical attention.
