Yesterday, police made a grim discovery near the boundary wall of Agriculture Institute at Dotora village in Saturia upazila of Manikganj. The body of a woman, identified as Sharmin Akter, 30, was found at the scene.
Identification and Details
Sharmin Akter, the daughter of Abdul Mannan, was married but had been living with her father at the time of her death, according to Safiqul Islam Molla, the officer-in-charge of Saturia Police Station. The locals alerted the authorities, leading to the recovery of her body around 12:30pm.
Investigation and Autopsy
Upon initial examination, injury marks were found on her neck, indicating that she may have been a victim of a sharp weapon. The police suspect that the murder was a result of a domestic dispute. The body was subsequently sent to Manikganj 250-bed General Hospital’s morgue for autopsy.
