The San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Office announced on Friday that the victim has been identified as 46-year-old Faith Angle, who was experiencing homelessness at the time of her passing.

On Monday, Jan. 22, a call came in reporting two people in distress in a flood channel in the area of Forester Creek near Prospect Avenue and Cuyamaca Street in Santee, California. Authorities discovered Angle’s body in the brush on the southern border of Forester Creek around 3:50 p.m. that same day. Despite efforts by paramedics, she could not be resuscitated and was pronounced dead at the scene.
