Tragic Crash Claims Life of 21-Year-Old in Livonia
A devastating crash in Livonia, Livingston County, has left the community in mourning after 21-year-old Valentine Nguyen tragically lost their life. The incident occurred at the intersection of Bronson Hill and Stone Hill roads in Livonia on February 20 at approximately 4:12 p.m.
The Livingston County Sheriff’s Office reported that Nguyen, a resident of Geneseo, was driving a passenger vehicle when they pulled out into the path of a commercial dump truck travelling south on Bronson Hill Road. Despite the dump truck driver’s best efforts to avoid the collision, the two vehicles collided with fatal consequences.
Upon arrival at the scene, emergency responders pronounced Nguyen deceased. A passenger in the vehicle was also injured and had to be rushed to Strong Memorial Hospital for treatment of serious injuries sustained in the crash.
Investigation Ongoing
The Livingston County Sheriff’s Office is currently conducting an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash. Based on preliminary findings, it appears that there will not be any criminal charges filed in connection with the incident.
Local emergency services, including Livonia and Lakeville firefighters, Livingston County Advanced Life Support, and Livonia and Livingston County EMS, provided assistance at the scene of the tragic crash.
