A man, identified as German Reyes Ramos, 46, was arrested by the Anaheim Police Department after allegedly attempting to lure a 12-year-old boy into his vehicle in Anaheim.

Incident Details

The incident took place on the 2900 block of West Orange Street in Anaheim at around 9:30 a.m. on Feb. 13. The young boy reported to the police that a man driving a tan-colored SUV approached him and offered him a ride. The suspect was seen holding a “bundle of money” while trying to lure the boy into his vehicle.

Fortunately, the boy managed to run away and immediately contacted the police to report the incident.

Suspect Identified and Arrested

Following an investigation, detectives were able to identify Reyes Ramos as the suspect in the case. On Feb. 20, he was apprehended by the authorities in Anaheim.

Reyes Ramos was driving a tan 2002 Dodge Durango SUV at the time of his arrest. It is believed that he was also driving the same vehicle when he attempted to lure the young boy.

Additional Victims Suspected

Detectives suspect that Reyes Ramos may have contacted or tried to contact other juvenile victims in Anaheim. In an effort to gather more information, authorities are releasing pictures of his vehicle in the hopes that victims or witnesses may recognize the car.

Reyes Ramos is described as a Hispanic man, standing 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighing 200 pounds. He has been charged with contacting a minor for felonious purposes and is currently being held on $300,000 bail.
