Man Arrested in Connection with Fatal Shooting in Rapid City
In a tragic incident that shocked the community, one man has been arrested in connection with a fatal shooting that occurred in the area of Pine Street and East North Street in Rapid City, South Dakota.
Arrest of Ezekiel Mayweather
The suspect, identified as 23-year-old Ezekiel Mayweather, was taken into custody for his involvement as an accomplice in the homicide. Mayweather was arrested for conspiracy to commit a felony/first degree murder and transported to the Pennington County Jail.
Victim Identified
The Rapid City Police Department (RCPD) was dispatched to the area on Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. following a report of a gunshot. Upon arrival, police found a woman with critical injuries. She was rushed to the hospital but tragically succumbed to her injuries. The victim has been identified as 25-year-old Esther Wolfe of Rapid City.
Ongoing Investigation
RCPD detectives, along with investigators from the Pennington County Sheriff’s Office, have been actively working on the case since the shooting occurred. They are dedicated to identifying and apprehending all individuals involved in this senseless act of violence.
