Tragic Accident Claims Life of Female Employee in Joypurhat
A devastating incident occurred in Khetlal upazila of Joypurhat today, as a female employee of the local land office lost her life in a tragic motorcycle accident. The victim, identified as Reshma Begum, 37, was a dedicated office assistant at the Khetlal Upazila Land Office and hailed from Dewanpara area in Joypurhat Municipality.
According to Md Anwar Hossain, the officer-in-charge of Khetlal Police Station, Reshma was on her way to work this morning, riding pillion on a motorcycle with a colleague. As they approached Bottoli Bazar in Khetlal around 9:00am, tragedy struck. Reshma tragically fell off the motorcycle, sustaining critical injuries in the process.
Local residents rushed to her aid and promptly transported her to the Khetlal Upazila Health Complex. Despite the best efforts of medical personnel, Reshma succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced dead at the facility.
