At around 1810 hours, the Avoyelles 911 Communication Center received a distressing report of a body discovered in this close-knit community, nestled north of Marksville. The Avoyelles Parish Sheriff’s Office swiftly responded to the call, leading them to a wooded area near a field where the body of an unknown female was found.
Upon further investigation, it was determined that the tragic demise of this individual was the result of a homicide. The body was meticulously examined and analysed by both the FACES Lab in Baton Rouge and the Louisiana State Police Crime Lab. Through advanced DNA analysis, the victim was positively identified as 38-year-old Ashley Beauclair, a resident of Marksville, Louisiana. The circumstances surrounding Beauclair’s untimely death continue to be a focal point of the ongoing investigation led by APSO Detectives.
