Man Arrested in Connection with Edgewood Bar Killing

A man has been arrested in Philadelphia in connection with the killing of a man at an Edgewood bar over the weekend, according to Harford County Police.

Parrisse Valentine has been charged with second-degree murder, first- and second-degree assault, and other related offenses in the case. The incident took place at D&M’s Tiki Bar located on the 2200 block of Pulaski Highway in Edgewood.

Victim Pronounced Dead at Area Hospital

Police responded to the scene shortly after midnight on Saturday and found the victim, identified as 24-year-old Dajuan Simmons, shot multiple times. Simmons was pronounced dead at an area hospital.

Investigators identified Valentine as the suspect and obtained an arrest warrant on Sunday. He was apprehended by Philadelphia Police on Monday evening in Philadelphia and is currently awaiting extradition to Harford County.

Shooting Not Random, Suspect Knew Victim

Sheriff Jeff Gahler stated that the shooting was not a random incident and that Valentine knew the victim, Dajuan Simmons. The investigation into the circumstances surrounding the shooting is still ongoing.
