Tragic Discovery in Pueblo, Colorado
In a heartbreaking turn of events, two adults in Pueblo, Colorado, are facing charges in connection with the deaths of two children. The grim discovery was made when police found the remains of one child in a metal container filled with concrete. Subsequent investigation led to the discovery of the remains of another child.
Suspects Identified in Pueblo Tragedy
The suspects, Jesus Dominguez, 35, and Corena Rose Minjarez, 36, were named as persons of interest after the child’s remains were found in a storage unit in Pueblo. The children, Yesenia and Jesus Jr. Dominguez, aged 3 and 5 respectively at the time they were last seen in the summer of 2018, had been reported missing.
Gruesome Discovery at a Scrap Yard
During the investigation, detectives located a vehicle belonging to Minjarez at a scrap yard in Pueblo. A search of the vehicle revealed a suitcase in the trunk containing the remains of a young male child. The remains found in the metal container were identified as those of Yesenia Dominguez, while the remains found in the suitcase were identified as Jesus Dominguez Jr.
Arrests and Charges
Arrest warrants were issued for Minjarez and Dominguez on charges including murder and abuse of a corpse. Minjarez was arrested shortly after the warrants were issued, while Dominguez was apprehended on Saturday afternoon. Both suspects are currently being held on a $2 million bond.
Delay in Reporting Missing Children
