Tragic Fatal Crash Kills Two in West Houston
A devastating accident occurred in West Houston on Sunday night, resulting in the loss of two lives and leaving one individual hospitalized with injuries. The incident took place on the 6300 block of Richmond Avenue near Greenridge Drive, where a black Toyota sedan collided with a gray Scion SUV just after 8 p.m.
Authorities suspect that speeding was a contributing factor to the crash. The black car was occupied solely by a driver, while the gray SUV had two adults in the front seats and two children in the back. Tragically, both adults in the SUV were pronounced dead at the scene.
It is believed that the woman in the SUV was the mother of the two children in the back seat, while the man was a relative. The children, aged five and ten, sustained minor injuries in the accident. In the aftermath of the crash, investigators are working to gather video footage from nearby businesses and interviewing witnesses to piece together the events leading up to the collision.
Meanwhile, the DWI task force is preparing to speak with the surviving driver, who is currently hospitalized due to injuries sustained in the crash. Authorities are also seeking out family members who can provide care for the young children affected by this tragic incident.
