Tragic Accident Claims Two Lives in TanahuN District
On a fateful morning in Aabukhaireni Rural Municipality-1 in TanahuN district, a joyous occasion turned into tragedy as a vehicle carrying guests to a wedding ceremony met with a fatal accident. The incident resulted in the loss of two lives and left 16 others injured, shaking the entire community.
Victims Identified
The deceased individuals have been identified as Aasbir Gurung, a 72-year-old resident of Aabukhaireni rural municipality-6, and Tulasi Gurung, a 17-year-old from Byas municipality-9. While Aasbir tragically lost his life on the spot, Tulasi fought bravely but succumbed to her injuries during treatment at Chitwan-based New Medical College.
Details of the Accident
The ill-fated vehicle, bearing registration number Ba 18 Cha 5921, veered off the road and plunged around 500 meters downwards, leaving a trail of devastation in its wake. The sudden turn of events shocked the local authorities and residents alike, prompting immediate response and aid to the injured.
Injured and Under Treatment
A total of 16 individuals sustained injuries in the accident, including Subina Gurung, Man Bahadur Gurung, Sukmaua Gurung, Alisa Gurung, Sabita Gurung, Shishir Gurung, Som Lal Gurung, Bhakku Lal Gurung, Sher Bahadur Gurung, Aasmaya Gurung, Dikshya Gurung, Sete Gurung, jeep driver Raj Kumar Bishwokarma, Chij Kumari Gurung, Susan Gurung, and Sunita Gurung. These survivors are currently undergoing treatment at Aabukhaireni Hospital and New Medical College in Chitwan.
The entire community is reeling from the tragic turn of events and is coming together to support the affected families during this difficult time. The authorities are investigating the circumstances leading to the accident to prevent such incidents in the future.
