The First Murder of 2024 in Killeen
In a tragic turn of events, the city of Killeen, Texas, was shaken by the first murder of 2024. The victim, identified as 70-year-old Nathaniel Sims, was found deceased in a room at the Hallmark Inn located at 4500 E. Central Texas Expressway.
Police Investigation Underway
On Friday, February 2, 2024, Killeen Police Officers responded to a call at the inn, arriving at approximately 1:31 p.m. Upon discovering Sims with apparent injuries, Justice of the Peace Gregory Johnson pronounced him dead at 2:55 p.m. and ordered an autopsy to determine the cause of death.
