A Salisbury resident, Richard Darlington Smith, tragically lost his life on Friday after being shot multiple times while walking down North Division Street, as confirmed by Maryland State Police.
The harrowing incident occurred at approximately 8:10 p.m. on Feb. 16 in the 900 block of North Division Street, where emergency personnel declared Smith, aged 49, dead at the scene.
The Maryland State Police Homicide Unit has taken charge of the investigation into this fatal shooting, with the Salisbury police providing their support.
