The LMB Mourns the Loss of Samantha Skehel
The LMB is deeply saddened to learn of the untimely death of Samantha Skehel, a former member of the LMB’s Finance Team and Lab Services and Purchasing Team. Samantha worked at the LMB from 2012 to 2015, contributing immensely to the success and growth of the institution.
Since leaving the LMB in 2015, Samantha has been based at the renowned Newton Institute, where she continued to excel in her field. Her dedication and passion for her work made her an invaluable asset to both institutions, and she will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege of working with her.
At this time, the cause of Samantha’s death remains unknown, and our thoughts and condolences go out to her family, friends, and colleagues during this difficult time. The LMB will provide any support necessary to help them through this tragic loss.
Samantha’s contributions to the LMB and the scientific community will not be forgotten. Her expertise and professionalism made a lasting impact, and her legacy will continue to inspire current and future members of the LMB.
