The Mumbai Police Investigates Firing Incident Outside Salman Khan’s Residence

The Mumbai Police have taken a significant step in the investigation of the firing incident that took place outside actor Salman Khan’s residence in April. A new case has been registered, and one person from Rajasthan has been arrested on charges of criminal intimidation.

Arrest of Banwarilal Laturlal Gujar

The accused, identified as Banwarilal Laturlal Gujar, a 25-year-old from Bundi in Rajasthan, allegedly uploaded a video on his YouTube channel threatening to harm Salman Khan. In the video, he claimed to have connections with notorious gang members and vowed to take action against the actor for not apologizing. The Mumbai Police, considering the seriousness of the threat, sent a team to Rajasthan for investigation and apprehended Gujar.

Legal Action and Investigation

Gujar has been arrested under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code, including criminal intimidation, and provisions of the Information Technology Act. The police are currently looking into his criminal background and conducting further investigations into the case. The incident occurred when two motorbike-borne individuals fired multiple rounds outside Salman Khan’s residence in Bandra on April 14.

Previous Arrests and Connections

In a related case, a total of six individuals were arrested, including Anuj Thapan, who tragically took his own life in police custody. Additionally, Navi Mumbai Police arrested five individuals, including members of the Bishnoi and Goldy Brar gangs from Haryana, for their involvement in a plot to attack Salman Khan. Lawrence Bishnoi, a key player in the case, is currently incarcerated in Sabarmati Central Prison in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, and efforts are being made to secure his custody for questioning.

Continued Investigations and International Connections

Lawrence Bishnoi’s brother, Anmol, who is believed to be residing in Canada, has been listed as a wanted accused in the firing incident. Investigations have revealed that the gang members had conducted surveillance on Khan’s farmhouse in Panvel and other locations frequented by the actor for film shoots. The Mumbai Police are actively pursuing leads to uncover the full extent of the conspiracy and ensure justice is served.
