Eric Travers Found Alive in San Francisco County Jail

Eric Travers, a 30-year-old man who was reported missing after last being seen on April 30, has been found alive in an unexpected location – San Francisco county jail. Travers, who was traveling from North Carolina to San Francisco to audition with the band Spirit Hustler, was last spotted in the Tenderloin area last week, as reported by WNPE out of South Carolina. Concern for his whereabouts prompted his brother to set up a fundraiser to fly out to San Francisco and hire a private investigator, expressing his and his mother’s worry over the situation.

Arrest and Charges

On May 2, around 2 p.m., the San Francisco police Department detained a white man matching Travers’ description at 21st and Shotwell streets for allegedly throwing objects at vehicles and people. The man was said to have thrown large rocks towards two individuals, damaging a vehicle in the process. Following an investigation, the man was taken to a local hospital for minor injuries before being booked into San Francisco county jail.

It was later revealed that the man had provided a false name to officers upon arrest, but was eventually identified as Eric Travers. He now faces two counts of assault with a deadly weapon and felony vandalism charges.

Health Concerns

Travers’ brother highlighted in the fundraiser that Eric suffers from epilepsy and had been without his necessary medication since his disappearance. The medications were left behind in the hotel room he had not returned to, emphasizing the urgency of the situation as Eric relies on them for survival. It remains unclear if the lack of medication played a role in Travers’ behavior leading up to his arrest.

The case involving Eric Travers is currently under active investigation by the authorities, with more details expected to emerge as the process unfolds.
