A devastating fire at Moon Hotel and Banquet Hall in Noida has left a 27-year-old woman, Palak Kumari, dead and her friend, Navneet Sharma, critically injured. Both individuals were found unconscious by police due to smoke inhalation during the fire.

Hotel Lacked Necessary Certification

Fire officials have revealed that Moon Hotel did not possess a No-Objection Certificate (NOC) from the department at the time of the incident. It has been reported that Palak and Navneet were the only guests staying at the hotel when the fire broke out.

The hotel, which had recently been leased for operations, was undergoing maintenance and renovation work. The fire is believed to have started during an AC repair, quickly spreading through the building. Firefighters were alerted to the situation at 5.35 pm, and ten fire tenders were dispatched to the scene. Despite the challenging circumstances, the fire was successfully extinguished with the help of only one fire tender.
