The incident took place near the Wilson Garden 10th Cross junction on Monday morning. The video footage depicts a tense exchange between the biker and the traffic police constable, which quickly escalates into a violent confrontation. In an act of utter disregard for authority, the biker sinks his teeth into the hand of the constable, leaving everyone present shocked and appalled.
Desperate Escape Attempt
Not content with his aggressive assault, the biker then attempts to snatch the constable’s mobile phone and flee the scene. The video captures the chaotic scene as the traffic police constable bravely tries to maintain control while subduing the unruly biker.
Arrest and Charges
The 28-year-old biker, identified as Syed Shafi, was promptly arrested by the Wilson Garden police. He now faces charges of assault and creating a disturbance on the road. The incident unfolded when constable Siddarameshwara Koujalagi noticed Shafi riding his two-wheeler without a helmet and attempted to document the violation by taking photographs.
Infuriated by the constable’s actions, Shafi not only bit him but also threatened to set fire to the nearby police post. He further obstructed traffic by parking his two-wheeler in the middle of the road. In a display of defiance, he demanded the removal of his vehicle’s registration number plate and challenged the police to file as many cases against him as they wished.
The injured constable, displaying remarkable resolve, managed to bring Shafi to the police station and filed a formal complaint against him.
