Tragic Shooting Incident in Napa Leaves Two Dead

Over the weekend, a tragic incident unfolded near downtown Napa, where two women lost their lives in a fatal shooting. The Napa Police Department made a significant breakthrough in the case by apprehending three suspects linked to the heinous crime.

Details of the Shooting

The shooting occurred on Saturday evening around 8:10 p.m. along the 400 block of Riverside Drive in Napa. Upon arrival at the scene, law enforcement officers discovered two women who had been shot. Tragically, one of the victims was pronounced dead on-site, while the second victim succumbed to her injuries at the hospital.

Witnesses in the vicinity reported hearing a loud argument just before the gunfire erupted, sending shockwaves through the quiet neighbourhood.

Arrest of Suspects

Following intensive investigations, Napa police, in collaboration with SWAT units, apprehended 22-year-old John Nicholson Jr. from Vallejo, identified as the alleged shooter. Nicholson was taken into custody and booked on two counts of murder.

In a subsequent operation led by Sonoma County Sheriff’s detectives, two more suspects were arrested. The individuals, identified as 19-year-olds Jessica Whitten and Judith Adolph, both hailing from Santa Rosa, were charged with aiding in a felony. They were later transferred to Napa police custody and booked into the Napa County Jail.

Community Support and Ongoing Investigation

The Napa Police Department expressed gratitude for the support received from the community, as well as collaborating agencies such as the Napa County Sheriff’s Office, the Napa Special Investigations Bureau, the District Attorney’s Office, and the Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office.
