Developing: Bleeding Cool reported that Gabriel Luna described Bella Ramsey as the “general” on the set of The Last of Us Season 3, saying, “I go where Bella walks. I love them so much. They’re one of the world’s greatest actors.”
The comments were published Thursday, Oct. 22, 2026, after Luna spoke to Variety at The Terminal List Season 2 premiere, according to the Bleeding Cool report. The outlet said Luna also indicated that filming on Season 3 is underway, with the next installment expected to shift perspective further toward Abby’s storyline.
The report does not include any new official production announcement from HBO, and it does not say Ramsey has made any public statement about the role described by Luna. The remarks should therefore be treated as a fresh on-the-record comment from a co-star, not as independent confirmation of broader plot details beyond what Luna previewed.
Ramsey has played Ellie in the HBO adaptation since the series began, and Luna’s comments add to the ongoing discussion around the show’s third season as production continues. What remains unclear is how much of the new season’s direction will closely follow the game’s structure and when HBO will release additional official details.
Separately, the Bella Ramsey name also surfaced in social posts on X on Thursday, but those posts did not provide reliable evidence of a news event and included commentary rather than independently verifiable reporting.
