The Pune Crash Case: Shocking Revelation Unveiled
In a surprising turn of events in the Pune crash case, the police have made a startling revelation. It has been disclosed that the blood samples of the juvenile involved in the accident were replaced, leading to a false report showing no traces of alcohol.
Details of the Incident
According to Pune Police Commissioner Amitesh Kumar, on the 19th of May, the blood sample that was initially taken at Sassoon Hospital was discarded in a dustbin. Subsequently, the blood sample of another individual was collected and sent to the forensic lab. The Chief Medical Officer Srihari Halnor was responsible for this substitution, as per the instructions of the Head of the Forensic Medicine Department, Ajay Tawre.
The father of the juvenile had reportedly contacted Dr. Taware to replace the blood samples, as revealed by Police Commissioner Kumar. An investigation is currently ongoing to determine whose blood samples were collected and replaced with those of the juvenile.
Arrest of Hospital Staff
In a significant development, police have arrested two doctors from Sassoon General Hospital for alleged manipulation of blood samples and destruction of evidence in the case. The individuals taken into custody include the head of the forensic department at the hospital.
The incident in question involves a car accident where a 17-year-old boy, driving a Porsche, collided with two IT professionals on a motorcycle. Tragically, the impact of the crash resulted in the death of the two individuals. The police assert that the teenager was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the accident.
Juvenile Justice and Legal Action
Initially, the teenager was granted bail by the Juvenile Justice Board, which also mandated him to write an essay on road accidents. However, following public outcry over the perceived leniency of the decision and a review application by the police, the juvenile was remanded to an observation home until the 5th of June.
In connection with the accident, the police have also apprehended the teenager’s father, who works as a realtor, and his grandfather. The case is currently under investigation by the crime branch to ensure that justice is served for the victims of this tragic incident..
