Man Charged with Murder and Attempted Murder

Kevin Springer, a 28-year-old contractor from Lot 5 Sparendaam, East Coast Demerara, has been remanded to prison for the murder of Joseph Forde from Plaisance, ECD. Forde tragically lost his life on May 2, 2024.

Accomplice Charged with Attempted Murder

In a shocking turn of events, Springer also faces an attempted murder charge alongside his alleged accomplice, 30-year-old Denzil Scott, who is self-employed and resides at Lot 74 Sparendaam ECD. Both men were arrested on May 3 and appeared before Magistrate Rushelle Liverpool at the Sparendaam Magistrates’ Court.

Details of the Case

Reports suggest that Springer and Scott attempted to murder another Plaisance resident, Jermain Williams, aged 50. While the exact circumstances of the attempted murder remain undisclosed, the duo was not required to enter a plea and has been remanded until June 18, 2024.
