The victim, Indirabai Bharadwaj (55), was a member of the Bharadwaj family who ran a grocery shop and pan kiosk at their home. Girdhari’s suspicions of his wife having an illicit relationship led to frequent fights between him, his wife, and their son, Devendra.
On the fateful day, as Devendra opened the shop, Indirabai was sitting nearby when Girdhari approached her with an axe. Ignoring Devendra’s attempts to intervene, Girdhari proceeded to brutally attack Indirabai, resulting in her tragic death.
## Rescue Operation Unveils Online Sex Racket
In a separate incident, the social service branch (SSB) of the city police uncovered an online sex racket operating in a hotel in the MIDC area. In another unfortunate incident, a 24-year-old labourer, Jagesh Bhagatkar, lost his life after falling from the 13th floor of an under-construction building in Ganeshpeth. The resident of Balaghat lost his balance and tragically fell to the ground from the towering height.
