Gerhardt “Gary” B. Fisher, a beloved member of the West Bend community, passed away peacefully in his sleep on May 5, 2024. He was 84 years old.

Gary was born on May 8, 1940 in West Bend, Wisconsin to parents of German descent. He grew up in the tight-knit community of West Bend, where he formed lifelong friendships and built a reputation as a kind-hearted and hardworking individual.

After graduating from West Bend High School, Gary proudly served his country in the military as a veteran of the armed forces. His dedication and commitment to serving his country was a source of great pride for him throughout his life.

Following his military service, Gary returned to West Bend, where he pursued a career in the automotive industry. His passion for cars and mechanics led him to establish himself as a reputable and skilled professional in the field. He was known for his attention to detail and his ability to solve even the most complex mechanical problems.

In addition to his professional pursuits, Gary was also a devoted family man. He married his high school sweetheart, Sarah, and together they raised three children in the West Bend area. Gary was a loving husband, father, and grandfather, and his family meant everything to him.

A celebration of Gary’s life will be held at the West Bend Community Center on May 12, 2024, where friends and family will gather to honor his memory and share stories of his remarkable life. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Veterans Support Foundation in Gary’s name.
