Arrest Made in Fatal Hit-and-Run Incident in Northeast Miami-Dade
A 70-year-old man, William Taylor, has been arrested by police in connection with a tragic hit-and-run incident that resulted in the death of a woman in Northeast Miami-Dade. The victim, 67-year-old Madette Roche Laurent, was fatally struck just before 5:25 a.m. at the intersection of Northeast Sixth Avenue and 149th Street.
Suspect Fled the Scene
According to Miami-Dade Police, Taylor fled the scene of the accident without stopping to render aid or call 911 after hitting Laurent as she attempted to cross the street. Paramedics arrived at the scene but sadly pronounced Laurent dead.
