**Tragic Homicide in Hesperia**

A shocking incident unfolded in Hesperia, California, on April 15, 2024, when a 25-year-old man, Justin Cameron Wilkinson, was found dead after a trailer fire. What initially seemed like a tragic accident took a dark turn when officials determined that Wilkinson was actually the victim of a homicide.

**Discovery of the Crime Scene**

The Hesperia Sheriff’s Station received reports of a trailer fire in the 7800 block of C Street. Witnesses described hearing a loud explosion followed by a blaze of orange and yellow flames. The San Bernardino County Fire Department quickly arrived at the scene to extinguish the fire. Tragically, inside the trailer, they found the lifeless body of Justin Cameron Wilkinson.

**Suspicious Circumstances**

Upon closer inspection, the Sheriff’s Arson/Bomb Detail noticed injuries on Wilkinson that were not consistent with those caused by a fire. This led the Sheriff’s Specialized Investigations Division – Homicide Detail to take over the case. Their investigation revealed that Wilkinson had been physically assaulted.

**Arrest of the Suspect**

During the course of their investigation, detectives identified Angel Cardenas, a 23-year-old resident of Victorville, as the suspect in Wilkinson’s murder. Cardenas was swiftly arrested and booked into the High Desert Detention Center, where he remains without bail. A court appearance for Cardenas is scheduled for Thursday in a Victorville courtroom.
