In a gruesome discovery, police in Rajasthan’s Alwar district uncovered the decomposed bodies of a woman and two children in a well near National Highway-248. Passersby reported the foul stench emanating from the well, prompting the authorities to investigate.
Upon arriving at the scene, a police team carefully retrieved the bodies, which had their hands and legs tied. This led to immediate suspicions of murder.
“Following information from locals, our team reached the spot and, with the help of civil defense, recovered the bodies from the well. The bodies appear to be three to four days old and have been sent to the district hospital mortuary,” revealed DSP Narayan Singh.
The woman, approximately 35 years old, and the children, dressed in Madarsa Board uniforms, were estimated to be between 10 and 14 years of age.

In a separate incident, the lifeless body of Sobha Bhoi, a 60-year-old villager, was discovered in a well in Hilunga village, under the jurisdiction of Birmaharajpur police station in Subarnapur district. Sobha had gone missing the previous night, causing great distress to her family.
Early the next morning, locals made a shocking discovery when they found Sobha’s body floating in the well. Police and firefighters were immediately summoned to the scene to extricate the body.
The presence of a cut mark on Sobha’s neck indicated foul play, suggesting she had been killed before being thrown into the well. Authorities have initiated an investigation, filing a case and sending the body for a postmortem examination.
