The incident took place during a friendly match between two football teams at Siliwangi Stadium in Bandung, West Java. A circulating video captured the exact moment when the 35-year-old male victim from Subang collapsed at the stadium. The man, later identified as Septain Raharja, unfortunately did not survive the lightning strike.
Eyewitnesses reported seeing scorch marks on the player’s jersey, highlighting the severity of the lightning strike. The incident occurred on February 10 amidst rainfall, which likely contributed to the fatal lightning strike. After the incident, the footballer was still breathing and was immediately rushed to Sariningsih Hospital for urgent medical attention. However, despite the efforts made to save him, he was pronounced dead upon arrival.
