The Manitoba RCMP Charges Ryan Howard Manoakeesick with 1st Degree Murder in Connection with the Deaths of Five Individuals in Southern Manitoba

In a devastating turn of events, the Manitoba RCMP’s Major Crime Services has announced the arrest of 29-year-old Ryan Howard Manoakeesick in relation to the deaths of five individuals in southern Manitoba. The accused, a resident of Carman, has been charged with five counts of 1st Degree Murder.

Victims Identified and Relationship to the Accused Unveiled

The victims have been identified as the 30-year-old female common-law partner of Manoakeesick, their 6-year-old daughter, 4-year-old son, and 2.5-month-old daughter. Tragically, the fifth victim was revealed to be the 17-year-old niece of the deceased female. All five victims lived together and were residents of Carman, Manitoba.

The deceased female was found on Highway 3, while the bodies of the three children were discovered on Highway 248. The tragic loss of the 17-year-old niece occurred at the residence in Carman.

Investigation Continues as RCMP Remain on Scene

Although officers are no longer present at the highway locations, they are still on the scene at the residence in Carman. The RCMP Major Crime Services, along with Carman RCMP, Headingley/Stonewall RCMP, RCMP Forensic Identification Services, and the RCMP Forensic Collision Reconstructionist Unit, are actively investigating the case.

Initial reports suggested that a witness had aided in rescuing the children from the burning vehicle. However, further information has revealed that it was the accused who removed the children from the vehicle.

Autopsies are scheduled to take place today to further understand the circumstances surrounding this tragic incident.
