In Wyandotte County, law enforcement officials are currently investigating a fatal shooting that took place in the early hours of Friday morning. The victim has been identified as John B. Zamora, a 25-year-old resident of Kansas City, Kansas.
According to a press release, the police were alerted to the incident after receiving reports of gunshots in the 900 Block of Greeley Avenue. Upon their arrival at the scene, it was discovered that Zamora had sustained a gunshot wound and was being transported to a nearby hospital. Tragically, he succumbed to his injuries and passed away.
The KCKPD Major Case Unit has taken charge of the investigation into this incident. They are appealing to the public for any information that may assist in bringing the perpetrator to justice.
